Security is typically framed as defensive, but the most comprehensive security strategies are those which take a proactive stance rather than a reactive one. There is a threshold past which you are no longer a target of opportunity but a target of intent - studied by adversaries who plan, who are patient, and who will use someone inside before you ever see them outside. Against that kind of threat, even excellent defensive security is fundamentally reactive: it waits to be attacked. A Strategic Intelligence Partner is the proactive answer - security led by intelligence, so that you anticipate specific, real threats rather than waiting to discover them. It is our most extensive engagement, and it includes everything in the Strategic Security Partner tier beneath it.

Scope Beyond Leadership Collaboration

Our Strategic Intelligence Partner package includes everything provided by our Strategic Security Partner package, but significantly extends its scope to domains beyond what a Strategic Security Partner stance can incorporate. In particular, as a Strategic Intelligence Partner, we can take further steps to enhance your organisation's security against insider and integrity risks as well as external ones. Additionally, the most dangerous external actors, such as advanced persistent threats and targeted espionage, may seek to leverage insider threats as part of their broader external attacks. As a Strategic Intelligence Partner, we can collaborate with your leadership to develop a cohesive strategy for defence against such internal and hybrid risks. We can additionally work to identify and mitigate internal organisational weak points that may introduce future reputational risk before external actors can weaponise them. Our role is not to conduct intrusive surveillance or unlawful intelligence activity, but to help organisations responsibly identify, understand, and mitigate risks arising from complex human environments.

The Threats Defence Cannot See

Defensive security is built to notice attacks, which makes it much weaker against a trusted insider who never does anything that looks like one. Someone who reads a few more records than their role strictly requires, exports them through channels they are entitled to use, and does it slowly enough that no threshold is ever tripped does not register as an intrusion - because it is not one. Some of the most damaging breaches are not break-ins at all, but the patient misuse of legitimate access, and they are close to invisible to tools that are looking for break-ins. Catching them means knowing what to look for rather than waiting for an alarm to sound, which is the difference between monitoring and intelligence. The same is true of the exposures that are not technical at all - an integrity problem, a leak, a reputational vulnerability that becomes a crisis the moment an outside party finds it before you do. We help you find these first.

Real Adversaries, Lawfully

Rather than defending against a generic attacker, we appraise the specific threat actors your organisation actually faces, and feed that assessment back into your testing and engineering, so that both are built against probable attacks rather than an abstract checklist. Where it is relevant, we extend this to the wider environment - geopolitical risk, and guidance for staff travelling to higher-risk jurisdictions. We are also explicit about what this work is and is not. It is lawful, responsible risk identification: support during internal disputes, examination of irregularities, and analysis of leakage and reputational exposure, all conducted within clear legal and ethical limits. It is not surveillance, and it is not intrusion.

Beyond static models of the threat landscape, the information gleaned from such mapping can be used to optimise your security by tailoring security testing and engineering towards actual threat actors. We include a 40% discount on all security testing for Strategic Intelligence Partners, with intelligence information utilised to guide security engagements, along with priority access to our Security Engineering service.

Intelligence Analysis

Intelligence is only valuable if it improves organisational understanding and decision-making. As part of this service, organisations additionally receive access to our Data Science, Data Visualisation, and Data Dashboards services in support of intelligence interpretation, risk analysis, threat environment mapping, and strategic guidance. We draw upon our expertise in these areas to ensure that our intelligence insights produce coherent analytical outputs suitable for operational use, and that such analysis is clearly communicated to all relevant decision-makers and stakeholders.
