Talks and Presentations

Is your organisation interested in organising presentations for your staff on cybersecurity? Alternatively, does your organisation own a venue or run public events? Shellhex offers talks and presentations at both private and public venues about all topics in cybersecurity. All our presentations are given by real ethical hackers and are grounded in the mechanics of real-world attacks and threats. Contents can be tailored to any specific concerns your organisation may have, or which you think would be an interesting or valuable area to cover. Durations are flexible. Members of our leadership at Shellhex have training in public speaking and have consistently received praise for our presentations.

Pricing Model

Our pricing model for presentations and talks varies based on the length of the speaking engagement. Longer engagements are significantly more cost-effective on a per-hour basis. Our pricing table is as follows, with length tiers, cost for each tier, and equivalent hourly rate:

Talk ScaleTalk TimeTalk Price
Lightning Talk10-20 minutes£225-£450
Standard Talk30-60 minutes£550-£1,100
Extended Talk90-120 minutes£1,350-£1,800

All prices are exclusive of VAT. For public speaking events where we will be the sole or primary speaker, we instead charge 40% of ticket revenue if this would exceed the rate listed above; that is, we charge whichever is higher.

Topics

As with our Courses offering, we can offer explanations of how real-world attacks happen, with specific examples. If desired, we can include deep dives on specific attack vectors with live demonstrations where appropriate. We can also teach how to use simple but valuable tools for staying safe, such as password managers, MFA, and backups, as well as offer guidance on spotting phishing attempts. We are happy to customise our talks and presentations to any specific requests or areas of interest you have. There are many other topics we can discuss if you have interest, such as how offensive security engagements actually work or the state of the cybersecurity industry as a whole. We can include Q&A to discuss specific attendee concerns if appropriate to the audience size and context.

Who It's For

Our talks and presentations can be aimed at anyone, but we specifically feel our offerings would be beneficial to the following groups:

  • Business executives and operations managers
  • Staff needing security awareness
  • MSPs and IT providers advising clients on security
  • SMEs concerned about cyber threats
  • People interested in careers in cybersecurity

However, we think everyone could benefit from learning more about cybersecurity, and our talks and presentations can be specialised for any audience.
